2025 edition recap
A full room, sharp ideas, and the kind of conversations that continue after the session ends.
The 2025 HSG Fintech Summit brought together researchers, financial institutions, policy experts, entrepreneurs, students, and investors for a focused day of fintech debate in St.Gallen. The program moved from rigorous academic presentations to industry perspectives and informal exchanges, creating an open dialogue between people who rarely get enough time in the same room.
Remarkable presentations
Research talks featured discussants from USI Lugano, University of Zurich, VU Amsterdam, EPFL, CEPR, Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, and King's College London.
Industry in the discussion
Participants from the Bank for International Settlements, Swiss National Bank, CV Labs, SFTI, Montigo Labs, and TIDIT brought practical questions into the academic debate.
Keynote momentum
Prof. Bruno Biais from HEC Paris delivered the keynote, anchoring a day shaped by careful research, direct questions, and lively exchange.
A broad community
More than 100 attendees joined, including finance professionals, HSG faculty and students, SFI PhD students, investors, and fund managers from different generations and backgrounds.
Beyond the formal sessions, the summit had the relaxed energy of a community meeting: students speaking with senior practitioners, academics comparing notes with entrepreneurs, and new collaborations beginning over coffee and the networking apero. The online response followed the same pattern, with more than 50k impressions on LinkedIn.
